Hi, I’m James Taylor, founder of Taylor Estate Management. I live in Bakewell and know Derbyshire very well, having moved to the Peak District from Leyland just a few weeks into secondary school. Settling into a new school was a challenge, but it taught me the value of hard work and determination. Growing up here also gave me a real appreciation for the area and its landscape.

Alongside Taylor Estate Management, I’m also a shareholder in my family’s holiday let business and manage its day to day operations. This gives me an owner’s perspective as well as practical experience of what it takes to keep properties well maintained, bookings running smoothly and guests happy. I started Taylor Estate Management to offer holiday let owners in the Peak District a personal, reliable service that makes their lives easier, with clear communication and the same care I give my own properties.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife Jess and our two children, Poppy and Max, especially going on holiday together. I also enjoy seeing friends, playing padel, golf and tennis, walking in the Peak District and renovating properties.
